Celebrities join City runners for Square Mile jog

JOINING the 5,000 City workers dashing around the Square Mile on 11 July for the annual Standard Chartered Great City Race, will be a team of blindfolded celebrity runners.

Television presenter and Strictly Come Dancing winner Chris Hollins has already signed up, alongside former England Cricket Captain Mike Gatting.

The Capitalist caught up with Gatting, who was already making a gameplan for essential rehydration: “I do know there are four or five decent watering holes on the race route around the Square Mile – so it might literally have to be a pub crawl.”

Both our famous and financial faces will be running to raise money for Seeing is Believing, the global initiative to tackle avoidable blindness.
