Cavendish fourth on stage six

CYCLING: Germany’s Andre Greipel won stage six of the Tour de France yesterday, holding off Britain’s Mark Cavendish, who placed fourth, in a sprint finish. South Africa’s Daryl Impey took the overall lead, meaning he will be the first African rider to wear the leader’s yellow jersey for stage seven. Tour favourite Chris Froome is placed seventh overall, while his fellow Team Sky rider Edvald Boasson Hagen is second, three minutes behind Impey.
