The new Porsche Cayman is set to be the star of 2013
This third generation Porsche Cayman was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show and looks sets to be one of the stars of next year. It has a longer wheel base, an all-new chassis and is almost 30kg lighter than its predecessor. It shares some of its styling with its sister Boxster – including the recesses in the doors – and promises to be one of the best drivers’ cars ever.

BMW prepares for the launch of its latest electric city car
The Los Angeles auto show also saw BMW reveal this coupé version of its forthcoming i3 electric city car. Built with a carbon-fibre body, the three-door i3 Concept Coupé looks production-ready and has lower, sportier looks than its i3 sibling, which will go on sale next year. It is propelled by a 170hp electric motor that drives the rear wheels and the batteries are under the floor.
