Cairn India sells Rajasthan gas

Cairn India – a subsidiary of FTSE 100-listed oil explorer Vedanta – yesterday said it had started commercial gas sales from a block in Rajasthan in northern India. The first commercial volumes will be around 5m standard cubic feet. It comes as Cairn India announced it had kicked off oil production at a field in Rajasthan. The Aishwariya field will now ramp up to reach an output rate of 10,000 barrels of oil a day.
