Bumi defers annual results

Indonesian coal miner Bumi has deferred its full year results as the new management at subsidiary Berau Coal completes a balance sheet review. The results, originally due tomorrow, will now be released on 24 April as the new management spends time finalising the accounts. Bumi, which appointed Eko Budianto as chief executive and former Anglo executive Tony Redman as technical adviser at Indonesian coal subsidiary Berau at the end of January, is getting itself back on track following last month’s EGM, where co-founder Nat Rothschild was defeated over his proposals to overhaul the board. Bumi is currently in the process of affecting a separation from Indonesian subsidiary Bumi Resources.
