ENGLAND bowler Tim Bresnan hopes to prove his worth in the next 48 hours and force his selection for Thursday’s Test with New Zealand.
The 28-year-old has played in just two Test matches since August and had elbow surgery in February.
But Bresnan says he is fighting fit and hopes to prove so in practice.
“I am not here to carry the drinks,” said Bresnan. “I am here to play the game and throw my hat in the ring for selection.”
The tourists, meanwhile, have learned bowler Tim Southee will be fit to play after an injury scare.
