Boss Jonno dials 'H' for help against the Pumas

ENGLAND boss Martin Johnson has called upon his “Triple H” big guns to tame Argentina at Twickenham on Saturday.

Johnson’s men were badly exposed in their 18-9 defeat by Australia last Saturday, prompting the boss to make four changes for the visit of the Pumas.

Out from the squad completely goes No8 Jordan Crane, while veteran hooker Steve Thompson and scrum-half Danny Care are relegated to the replacements bench.

In their places, Johnson has opted for the three H’s who all impressed when coming off the bench against the Wallabies last Saturday – James Haskell, of Stade Francais, Northampton’s Dylan Hartley and London Irish’s Paul Hodgson.

The fourth change sees veteran Bath tighthead Duncan Bell make his first Test start since 2005 in place of David Wilson, who injured his neck last week.

Johnson hopes the changes will give his injury-hit side renewed urgency following last week’s disappointing defeat.

“The guys probably recognise we dropped off the pace a little after a good start,” he said. “It’s a team thing. It’s not individual pace it’s an urgency of the team to adapt to Test rugby. We recognise that and we have got to improve and I think we will improve.”
