Booth invests in New Call Telecom

JEROME Booth, the prominent City financier formerly of Ashmore, has made one of his first investments since leaving the fund manager.

Booth has backed New Call Telecom, the budget landline and broadband provider, and will become chairman of the company.

New Call, whose brands include Primus Saver and Just Dial, is on track for turnover of £20m this year the company said. Booth said the funds would be used for acquisitions.
