BMI THREATENS TO SUE HEATHROW

HEATHROW’S second biggest airline customer, British Midland International, is threatening to sue the airport over what it says is an “outrageous” 50 per cent rise in charges for its domestic UK passengers. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, BMI’s chief executive, says the new fees will be a significant blow to the loss-making airline’s domestic flights as it struggles to regain its financial footing.
