SIX City music aficionados visited Island Restaurant & Bar for dinner before strolling across Hyde Park to enjoy a night at the BBC Proms last week.
Of course, this classy group knew that the right way to enjoy their musical feast was with a culinary version beforehand.
They prepared well for the concert, sipping their way through a pair of bottles of finest Cristal, followed up by two bottles of Sancerre and two more of well-aged Chateauneuf. During the meal the group added on a few cocktails, just for good measure. But, ever responsible, our drinkers balanced their liquids with a range of platters, tucking into scallops, beef carpaccio, calves’ liver, smoked salmon and crab cakes. Just right for a leisurely stagger across the park afterwards.
