Nomura has begun to cover the newly listed firm with a “reduce” rating and a target price of 174p. Nomura said it was confident in Direct Line, but this was already factored into the price.
Ian Gordon at Investec has advised investors to sell the bank’s shares and “seek refuge” in Barclays, claiming Lloyds is exposed to low Dutch house prices. He gives Lloyds a 36p target.
Canaccord’s Julie Simmonds has increased the retinal imaging company’s target price from 306p to 312p ahead of its results. Canaccord rates Optos as a “buy” after improved trading.
