Beazley easily beats targets

Lloyd’s of London insurer Beazley yesterday unveiled strong results in its marine division as gross written premiums increased 11 per cent to $518m (£333m) during the first three months of 2013. The improvement was driven by strong performance at the company’s marine division, assisted by the new aviation insurance team. Chief executive Andrew Horton said the company benefitted from rates “rising across most of our business”.
