TOTTENHAM manager Andre Villas-Boas has assured supporters that multiple award-winning star Gareth Bale’s future lies at White Hart Lane, even if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Bale has scored 29 goals this season and yesterday his sparkling form was acknowledged by the Football Writers’ Association when he picked up their Player of the Year award to go alongside his PFA double from the weekend.
And, although Spurs are far from assured of playing in the Champions League next season, Villas-Boas is convinced his prize asset will not leave this summer.
“Will he stay if we don’t get in the top four? That’s the information I have from the club,” said Villas-Boas.
