ENGLAND wicketkeeper Matt Prior says his team-mates are resisting the temptation to gloat about Australia’s disciplinary issues with back-to-back Ashes series to come later this year.
The baggy greens axed four members of their squad, including vice-captain Shane Watson, for the forthcoming Test match with India, after the players failed to complete “homework” to address their previous defeat in Hyderabad.
However, with England set to play New Zealand in the second Test of their series this week, Prior insists the squad’s focus is solely on overwhelming the Kiwis.
“It is not something that we are interested in at all,” he said. “We’ve got a huge Test match coming up.”
