APR Energy boosted by contracts

Temporary power provider APR Energy yesterday posted a 10 per cent rise in profit for 2012 as it was boosted by a slew of new contract wins. Pre-tax profit at the firm was logged at $63.3m (£42m) over the year, flattered by an order backlog 80 per cent higher. Revenues rose 25 per cent to $265.7m. APR said it had made a strong start to the year, securing 281 megawatts of new contracts and 80MW of extensions to contracts.
