The Mayor’s Fund for London has joined forces with banking group Santander to announce a new £100,000 fund to help charities that are looking for grants to support disadvantaged young Londoners. Called Community Plus London, the initiative will provide grants of up to £5,000 to registered charities across the capital. Those focusing on health, skills and employment for young people are especially encouraged to enter. It is a cause that the Mayor of London Boris Johnson is enthusiastic about: “Supporting local communities is essential to the health and wellbeing of our great City” he said on Wednesday. The deadline for entries is 12 September.
