Aggreko fires up new gas plants

Temporary power and temperature control supplier Aggreko yesterday said that it has fired up two new plants – one in Cote d’Ivoire and one in Mozambique. “We have invested around £300m in gas-powered technology over the last five years, and it now accounts for around 40 per cent of our Power Project's revenues,” said boss Rupert Soames. “For those customers who have access to gas, it is significantly cheaper and cleaner than liquid fuel alternatives.”
