4G UPTAKE boosted mobile phone carrier EE’s quarter results today, with average revenue per user growing 2.2 per cent.

The company, which is a joint venture between France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom, said that its 4G customer base had reached 318,000, putting it firmly on track to meet its target of over one million 4G customers by the end of the year.

“Today’s results are in-line with our expectations, and we are making good progress focusing on high value segments,” said CFO Neal Milsom.

“We expect to strengthen our industry leadership position in the year ahead as the 4G roll out continues and we introduce double-speed 4GEE.”
