CHILE’S coach Jorge Sampaoli is unhappy with the quality of the team’s hotel in Cuiaba. The South Americans have concerns over security, say the air conditioning is in need of repair and the internet signal is poor. Chile kick off their World Cup campaign against Australia tomorrow night.

Sneijder gunning for revenge
HOLLAND midfielder Wesley Sneijder hopes his team can gain revenge for their 2010 World Cup final defeat to Spain in tomorrow’s Group B opener. Louis van Gaal’s men were beaten 1-0 after extra time in South Africa. Sneijder, set to win his 100th cap, said: “It’s like a scar that hasn’t healed yet.”

Uruguay still sweating on Suarez
URUGUAY striker Luis Suarez is undertaking triple training sessions in order to recuperate from a minor knee operation. But coach Oscar Tabarez has admitted he does not yet know whether Suarez will be fit for Saturday’s opening match against Costa Rica. Uruguay play England on 19 June.
