Akur Capital
The capital markets advisory firm has announced the appointment of Siobhan Sergeant as head of corporate finance execution. She was most recently at Smith & Williamson, where she was a director in its corporate finance division.

Aviva Investors
Aviva Investors has appointed Susan Ebenston as chief operating officer. She joins from Westpac Group in Sydney, where she was chief compliance officer. Prior to that, Ebenston was head of global fund services for JP Morgan Bank and chief operating officer at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.

Mitsubishi UFJ Securities
Geoffrey Coley has joined the capital markets division of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group as international business head. He has over 30 years’ experience in financial services. Coley previously held senior leadership roles at Citigroup.

Artemis
The investment management company has appointed Raheel Altaf as a fund manager. Working alongside Philip Wolstencroft and Peter Saacke, he will manage the Artemis Capital, European Growth and Global Growth funds. Altaf was most recently at Fulcrum Asset Management, where he was a portfolio manager. Before that, he was portfolio manager for a range of active and passive systematic equity funds at Fidelity International.

Insight Investments
The asset management firm has hired Svein Floden as head of business development for liquid alternatives in the Americas. He was formerly head of hedge fund sales and marketing at Deutsche Bank Asset and Wealth Management.

The software firm has made three appointments. Kuljit Bawa has joined as vice president of sales from McLaren Software. Tim Taylor has been appointed chief marketing officer. He previously held senior positions at Dell. Chris Harman joins as head of customer operations from Deloitte, where he was senior operations manager.

Markel
Neil Winters has joined the insurance company as head of information management and application services. He was previously at Apple, where he was global business intelligence manager across Europe, the Middle East, India and Asia.
