Pulis begins remodelling Palace

CRYSTAL Palace have opened contract talks with popular goalkeeper Julian Speroni, midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi and striker Marouane Chamakh, but manager Tony Pulis has wielded the axe on 12 players.

Full-backs Dean Moxey and Jonathan Parr, who have each made more than 100 appearances for the Eagles, have been released after their contracts expired along with Wales international defender Danny Gabbidon.

Scottish goalkeeper Neil Alexander and striker Aaron Wilbraham have also left Selhurst Park, along with seven of the club’s youth products.

A club statement read: “Crystal Palace would like to place on record its thanks to these players for their efforts and we wish them all the best in their future careers.”
