Strategy&, the management consulting firm and part of PwC, has announced the appointment of James Walker as a partner for leading demand analytics in Europe. He has over 25 years’ analytics experience in marketing consulting, technology, and big data analytics. Walker was most recently at Prophet, where he created its data and analytics business. Prior to that, he was a partner at Accenture.

Brooks Macdonald Funds
The fund management arm of Brooks Macdonald group has appointed David Scammell as international business development manager. He has over 16 years’ experience in the financial services industry and joins from Frontier Investment Management, where he was senior business development manager.

The law firm has made two appointments. Stephen Newson has been promoted to partner. He specialises in transactional property. David Richardson has also been appointed partner. He previously held roles at SNR Denton.

GLG Partners
Jack Barrat has been appointed co-manager of the GLG Undervalued Assets fund at the investment management firm. He joined GLG in 2013 from Matterley, where he was an assistant manager on the Matterley Undervalued Assets fund.

Moore Stephens
The consultancy firm has announced the appointment of Newton Konie as a compliance manager in its insurance industry group. He has nearly 20 years’ experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries. Konie previously held risk and compliance positions at Sterling Insurance Group and Jardine Lloyd Thompson.

Kingston Smith
The accountancy firm has made two hires to its London office. John Willmott joins as a partner from BDO, and specialises in providing business and corporate tax services to entrepreneurial firms. Peter Smithson joins as a general practice partner from Grant Thornton, where he spent 12 years. Becky Shields joins as a partner.

Mitsubishi UFJ Securities International
Mitsubishi UFJ Securities International has hired Sandra Moehle as head of Germany and Austria debt capital markets origination. She joins after a 10 year career at JP Morgan.
