MINUTE.COM co-founder and all-round digital doyenne Martha Lane Fox (or Baroness Lane-Fox of Soho as she’s now known) proved she’s made of strong stuff this weekend. The entrepreneur marked the ten year anniversary since her near-fatal car crash by hiking along Hadrian’s Wall, no small feat for someone deemed lucky to walk at all. In 2004, Lane Fox broke 26 bones in her body and suffered a stroke following the smash in Morocco.
Yesterday, Lane Fox tweeted: “I did it. 50 miles. 5 days. #HadriansWall #awesome here’s the final team” (pictured). At the time of writing she had raised an impressive £67,264.50 for orthopaedic and neurological trauma charities AbilityNet, Aspire and CES UK. No dearth of inspiration to take from that.
