1992: GARY Lineker made his last White Hart Lane appearance for Tottenham in a 3-3 draw with Everton before heading to Japan. Lineker (far right) is pictured with (l-r) chairman Alan Sugar, Paul Gascoigne and chief executive Terry Venables. Gazza’s transfer to Lazio had been agreed a year earlier, but he spent the entire season out after rupturing knee ligaments in the 1991 FA Cup final, where Spurs beat Nottingham Forest to lift the trophy for a record eighth time (Lineker and Gazza hold replicas). Lineker spent three years at Tottenham, scoring 67 goals in 105 appearances, including 28 in 35 in his final campaign.
