ARSENAL return to Emirates Stadium on Monday for the visit of rivals Chelsea following two disappointing results in Naples and Manchester.
The hosts haven’t lost three on the spin since January and Arsene Wenger needs a response to maintain their lead at the top.
The Gunners have lost just once at home in the league this season, winning six and drawing the other. They have scored an average of two goals per game and conceded just six – three of which came in the shock defeat to Aston Villa on the opening day.
The table-toppers will take heart from the fact that Chelsea have stuttered in Jose Mourinho’s second stint in charge. He has already lost three and won only three of their eight away contests.
Chelsea have had the upper hand over their London rivals in recent meetings, but this Blues side is a shadow of its former self. Rock-bottom Sunderland eliminated them from the Capital One Cup on Tuesday evening when their attacking frailties were highlighted again.
Arsenal are in a position to take advantage of Chelsea’s away troubles and can edge this. Their previous four home wins have all been to nil, so I’d recommend taking the 18/5 with Coral for the hosts to win without conceding.
