STRIKER Edin Dzeko took his goal tally into double figures as in-form Manchester City swept to a 3-1 victory at Leicester City and into the Capital One Cup semi-finals.
Full-back Aleksandar Kolarov scored the other for City, who cantered to a ninth win from their last 11 games, despite Lloyd Dyer’s late consolation for the Championship high-fliers.
City’s night was soured slightly by an injury to right-back Pablo Zabaleta. His setback follows news this week that top scorer Sergio Aguero faces a month out with a calf injury.
Kolarov rattled the first from a free-kick after eight minutes, and Dzeko doubled the lead just before the interval with a header from James Milner’s cross. The same combination saw the Bosnian notch a second – his 11th of the season – before Dyer beat Joe Hart at the near post.
