The private wealth manager has appointed John Morton as executive chairman. A co-founder of the firm, he was previously chief executive of Syndicate Asset Management and chief executive of Ashcourt. Morton has also worked as investment director at Brachers.

The portfolio manager has announced two appointments to its client services team. Pauline Stuart joins as institutional business director from BNY Mellon Asset Management, where she was executive director of institutional business for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Sean Landers also joins as institutional business director. He has held roles at Salomon Brothers, Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers, and BMO Capital Markets.
The investment capital and risks solutions firm has announced three hires. Julia Mahoney joins as head of technical. She was previously part of the management team running Travelers’ professional indemnity claims department. Oliver Gayner joins as litigation funding manager. He began his career as a solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer before joining Olswang in 2007. Steven Savage joins as head of marketing. He has worked at LexisNexis, AAC Capital Partners, the London Stock Exchange, and The Economist.

The corporate surety bond provider and subsidiary of Allianz has appointed David Chandler as a senior underwriter in its bond underwriting team. He has previously held roles at Coface and GE.
Ben Stone has been appointed as a senior manager in PwC’s pensions risk consulting practice. He joins from Towers Watson, where he advised pension schemes on risk and cost management.
The broker has appointed Mark Henderson as an analyst in its oil and gas team. He joins from Eurasia Drilling Company, where he was a consultant. Henderson has also held roles at Credit Suisse Securities, Commerzbank Securities and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
