FORMER Thomson Reuters finance chief David Grigson has been appointed chairman of digital communications firm Investis.
Investis, which develops digital media, websites and mobile apps for over 1,700 listed businesses including 70 per cent of the FTSE 100, was bought last year by Gresham Private Equity for £25m.
Grigson also currently serves as chairman of publisher Trinity Mirror, marketing services firm Creston and is a senior independent director of Ocado.
On his appointment Grigson said, “Investis has a clear strategy for growth, through geographic and product expansion, based on its market-leading technology platform.”
Investis is currently pushing to expand its US business where it works for General Electric and Northern Trust. The Company hopes Grigson’s experience in the US market will help with this.
“David’s wealth of experience... will be invaluable as we take the next steps to fulfil our ambition to be the global leader in digital corporate communications,” said Investis chief executive Helen James.
