Everyone enjoys chocolate pecan pie – why should the Americans have all the fun?

Bodean’s BBQ
American restaurants are two-a-penny these days but Bodean’s BBQ was here long before the diner deluge. Now there’s one in Fulham, Clapham, Soho and Tower Hill. Each is offering a three course feast for £22.95. That’s plenty of bang for your buck. Visit:

The Breakfast Club
At the cheaper end of the Thanksgiving spectrum is the Breakfast Club. Don’t let the name fool you, all five BC restaurants (Hoxton, Spitalfields, Angel, Soho, Battersea) will be serving dinner in two sittings, at 18:30 and 21:00. Email:

Hix Mayfair
At Hix Mayfair, for £55 you receive three courses of American classics fine dining-style. You’ll find no mac’ and cheese here. You will, however, be rewarded with a delicious pecan and bourbon tart with clotted cream. Tel: 020 7518 4004

The Riding House Café
Fitzrovia’s Riding House Café only opened in 2011 but it’s already one of the places to be seen on the restaurant circuit. Chocolate pecan pie and maple butter sweet mashed potatoes are just two of the crowd-pleasing treats on offer come 28 November. Tel: 020 7927 0840
