KPMG
The professional services giant has announced the appointment of Gary Reader as global head of insurance. Reader is a KPMG veteran having been at the company for 28 years, and was most recently its UK head of insurance advisory.

Capco
Christopher Geldard has been appointed head of the global banking practice and member of the global executive management team at the consultancy firm. Geldard specialises in advising global financial institutions through multiple engagements. He was formerly a senior partner at Accenture.

State Street Global Advisors
The asset management business, which has 27 offices throughout the world, has recruited Graham Fox as head of intermediaries for Ireland. He was previously at Irish Life Group, the Irish life and pensions company, were he was head of broker investment sales.

Lunson Mitchenall
The property consultancy has made two hires. Laura Shimell has joined from Knight Frank; and Beatrice Fairley, who was most recently at GCW.

Distribution Technology
Rob McDonnell has been appointed sales and marketing director at the technology firm. He joins from Cofunds, where he was a senior key account manager. Prior to that, he was at Invesco Perpetual.

Northern Trust
The wealth management company has made two appointments. John Cargill has been hired as head of depositary services for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He was formerly at HSBC. And Alastair Hay is the new UK head of depositary services.

King
The games company has hired Ciara Smyth as chief people officer. She was previously executive vice president of human resources at Zipcar.

Randstad Interim Executives
Jacob Rider has joined the interim management provider as a consultant. He was most recently at G2V Group.
