SPANISH fashion retailer Mango unveiled plans yesterday to launch 200 megastores by the end of next year that will house all of its brands under one roof.

The brand is aiming to increase the size of its shops to between 8,600 square feet and 32,000 sq ft. The average size of Mango units is currently about 3,200 sq ft.

It has signed leases for 25 stores so far, with 13 expected to open across Europe by the end of this year and a further 12 in 2014, including one in the UK in Manchester city centre.

Mango’s flagship store on Oxford street will also be refurbished and expanded next year.

The Barcelona-based group, which was founded in 1984 by brothers Isak and Nahman Andic, has over 2,600 stores across 107 countries.
