MacKay Shields
The fixed-income investment management firm has hired Matthew Nagele as managing director and head of distribution for the UK and Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He has previously held senior roles at Janus Capital Group and Old Mutual Asset Managers (UK).

Jones Day
The law firm has announced the appointment of Michael Weir as a partner in its London office and member of its private equity practice. Weir was most recently at Berwin Leighton Paisner, where he was a partner specialising in private equity.

Brown Shipley
Jenny Purves has been appointed private client senior manager in the private bank’s Edinburgh office. She has over 35 years’ industry experience, and joins from Bank of Scotland.

The European fiduciary manager has recruited Donny Hay as head of clients UK. Hay was formerly pension trustee director at LawDeb Pension Trustees. Prior to that, he held senior management positions at ING, Bankers Trust and KPMG.

Oliver Slack has joined the property advisory firm as director of city investment. Slack has 15 years’ experience in London investment, and previously worked in the city investment team at Cushman & Wakefield. Before that, he was at Savills, where he advised on the Central London investment market.

Charles Russell
The law firm has hired David Skinner as a partner in its corporate and commercial team. Skinner has previously worked at Radiant Law and Shaw Pittman.

FM Global
The insurance and risk management firm has appointed Peter Solloway to its management team. He joined FM Global in 1985.

Knight Frank
The property company has made two hires to its hotel agency and valuations teams. Jon Critchley joins from CBRE, where he was a surveyor in its hotels team. Josh Woolley was most recently an assistant surveyor at Gatwick Airport.
