City’s finest banquet in honour of our heroes

With just under two weeks to go to the City’s finest banquet, our illustrious chefs led by Albert and Michel Roux Jr are ready to reveal the banquet menu. We can also share some more of the auction lots that guests can bid on at this very special night hosted by Brian Turner CBE, president of The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts.

Square Mile Salute is proud of its tradition of working together with the people it supports. We will be joined on the night by rehabilitating service personnel from DMRC Headley Court. Seen here is Lance Corporal Andrew Jones, pictured centre preparing canapés at the Square Mile Salute 2013 launch party, held at The Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Park. Andrew and three other service personnel will once again be working with the RAC and royal chefs to prepare canapés.

“Square Mile Salute is not only a fantastic event that allows supporters to enjoy the cooking of some of the country's best and most inventive chefs in the stunning surroundings of Guildhall; it supports magnificent causes including the Mayor’s Fund for London, which aims to give disadvantaged young Londoners a decent start in life. It is wonderful to see the City coming together to help both those who have given so much, and to those who are at the start of their adult lives. I am proud and delighted to be involved with this event, and I hope you will join us.”
