ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger attempted to ground growing optimism sprouting from his team’s superb start to the season by branding talk of winning the Premier League title “ridiculous” yesterday.
The Gunners go into arguably their toughest match of the season tonight against Napoli in the Champions League on a nine-match unbeaten run following an opening day home defeat to Aston Villa.
But Wenger, who has midfielder Tomas Rosicky available again following a hamstring injury, insists his Premier League pacesetters must not get carried away.
“In our job the most important thing is to have a good balance between ambition and humility,” he said. “Ambition because you want to win, humility because we know we have only played six games and to speak about the title is absolutely ridiculous.”
