Rockspring
The property investment company has announced the appointment of David Thomas as European director responsible for its fund accounting team. Thomas was most recently at PwC, where he spent nine years specialising in investment management and real estate.

Barclays
The bank has recruited Peter Horrell as chief executive of its wealth and investment management business. Horrell joined Barclays in 1990, and from 2004 to 2011 was managing director of Barclays Wealth International.

Deloitte
The business advisory firm has made two hires to its security and resilience practice in London. Giles Taylor has 12 years’ experience in IT security and risk management, and will be focusing on the financial services sector. He joins from Lloyds Banking Group, where he was principal lead architect for security. Andy Ng will lead Deloitte’s information protection practice. He joins from Symantec.

UBS
Mike Dickey has joined the bank as a director of its private equity administration team. He was previously at Sungard Investran, where he was senior manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia. Prior to that, he was an analyst at Morgenthaler.

OANDA Corporation
The foreign exchange trading services provider has announced the appointment of Graeme Whittington as chief technology officer. He joins from BlackBerry, where he held senior roles in product management and software. Before that, he was part of IBM Canada’s consulting division.

Standard Chartered
The bank has hired Madhur Jha as senior global economist in its global research team. She was most recently at HSBC, where she worked as an economist and asset backed security strategist. She has previously worked at IDEAglobal in London and ICICI Bank in India.

Natixis Global Asset Management
Matthew Shafer has been appointed managing director of UK retail and global key accounts at the asset management firm. He joins from Merrill Lynch, where he was head of EMEA sales, offshore funds, alternative investments, and managed products.
