THE FOOTWEAR-to-protein shake conglomerate The Hut Group yesterday reported a spike in net revenues for the six months ending June this year.

The company, which added 250 new jobs over the last 12 months to take its headcount to 750 employees, reported a thirty per cent jump in revenues from £59.1m a year ago to £77.1m.

Hut owns a variety of ventures including supplement provider myprotein.com, clothes retailer thehut.com and DVD seller zavvi.com.

“2013 has witnessed another step-change in the group’s data driven retailing capabilities,” chief executive Matthew Moulding said.

“Our continued investment in both people and technology is a key driver behind the continued high levels of growth in sales, profitability and cashflow across the group.”

Over the six month period ending June the company also renegotiated a £24m facility with Barclays on improved terms.
