Hoggard calls time on career

CRICKET: Former England seamer Matthew Hoggard will retire at the end of the season. The 36-year-old took 248 wickets in 67 Test matches and ranks joint-seventh on the all-time list alongside spinner Graeme Swann. Hoggard captained his county side Leicestershire to Twenty20 Cup glory in 2011 and was a key member of England’s victorious Ashes team in 2005.
