The consultancy firm has announced the appointment of Deb Clarke as global head of investment research. Clarke joined Mercer in 2005 from Towers Watson, where she was a senior investment consultant. She was previously a fund manager for 20 years.

Divyesh Hindocha has joined the asset management company as global head of product and defined contribution. He was most recently at Mercer, where he was senior partner and global director of consulting. Prior to that, he worked at Legal and General.

Rothschild Wealth Management & Trust
The financial advisory group has recruited Barrie Duerden to lead its wealth management business in Guernsey. He joins from Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management in Guernsey, where he was head of investment policy.

Panmure Gordon
The stockbroker and investment bank has hired Patric Johnson as head of securities and a member of its executive committee. Johnson previously held senior roles at Evolution Group (now Investec Bank), including as head of distribution. Prior to that, he was a chief operating officer for Europe and Asia at Icap.

Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets
RBC’s corporate and investment banking arm has appointed Graeme Pearson as a managing director and head of European equity research. He was most recently head of equity research for Europe, the Middle East and Africa as Nomura International. Prior to that, he led the European telecom services research team at Lehman Brothers.

Gavin Lewis has joined the law firm as a partner in its Asia litigation practice. He was most recently at Herbert Smith Freehills, where he was a partner. In 2006, he joined UBS as managing director of litigation and regulatory inquiries, before rejoining Herbert Smith in 2008.

Mayfair Capital Investment Management
The UK property fund manager has announced the appointment of Frances Ketteringham as director of research and investment strategy. Ketteringham was formerly associate director at Jones Lang LaSalle, having begun her career at EGi.
