The alternative asset management firm has announced the appointment of Dorothee Goerz as senior fund manager. Goerz has over 12 years’ industry experience, and specialises in value and event-driven investing. She joins from Aremus Partners, where she was a portfolio manager. Prior to that, she was a portfolio manager at Lombard Odier. She has previously held various roles at York Capital Management and Merrill Lynch.
Sian Morris has joined the estate agent and property consultancy as a senior surveyor. She most recently worked at Bristol City Council, where she was a portfolio manager in its corporate property team, responsible for a portfolio of property assets and the management of operational buildings.
The speciality underwriter has recruited Darren Carr as deputy head of its marine unit. Carr was previously at Mitsui Sumitomo, where he specialised in marine liability. Prior to that, he held various positions at Hiscox and Aon.
Lord James Blyth has been appointed to the board at the European credit investment manager. Blyth was formerly chairman of Diageo, a position he held for eight years to June 2008. He was previously chief executive of The Boots Company.
The technology firm has made four new hires. Lennard Hoornik joins at chief commercial officer from HTC, where he was president for the Asia region. Warren East, Ian Robertson and Toby Hobson have all been appointed non-executive directors to its board. East was formerly chief executive of ARM Holdings. Robertson is currently a board member at BMW. Hobson was previously chairman at Sage Group.
Prakash Khot has joined the technology development company as chief technology officer. He was most recently senior vice president of engineering at Salesforce.
The real estate company has appointed Richard Dakin as a non-executive director. He is currently managing director and head of the corporate real estate business support unit at Lloyds Bank.
