UK retail sales drop 1.3 per cent in April as cold weather continues

UK RETAIL sales in April fell 1.3 per cent from March, with the cold weather continuing to impact businesses, according to data from the Office for National Statistics.
The main source of downwards pressure comes from the food sector, where the level of goods bought has fallen to its lowest point since December 2003.
