City Moves for 12 April 2018 - who's switching jobs at DAC Beachcroft, Cavendish Corporate Finance and MediaLink?

DAC Beachcroft

International law firm DAC Beachcroft has strengthened its corporate offering with the appointment of partner Graeme Bell. Graeme will be joining DAC Beachcroft’s corporate team in London, which completed 50 deals in 2017, spanning sectors including insurance and financial services, healthcare, real estate, technology and natural resources. As a well-regarded cross-border M&A practitioner, specialising in private equity and with significant experience of restructuring transactions, Graeme has led on transactions at every level of the market and across a number of sectors. Graeme was previously head of the London office for Dublin based firm Mason Hayes & Curran. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for over seven years at each of Ashurst and Akin Gump, including a period working in New York on cross-border distressed M&A following the 2008 financial crisis.

Cavendish Corporate Finance

Cavendish Corporate Finance, the UK’s leading specialist sell-side M&A firm, has appointed Duncan Chandler as a partner to head its financial services team. He will also be head of financial services at Oaklins, the world’s most experienced mid-market M&A advisory group, of which Cavendish is a member. Prior to joining Cavendish, Duncan Chandler was a Managing Director at the fintech-oriented VC fund, Blenheim Chalcot. His previous experience includes five years at Deloitte Corporate Finance, where he was a director in the firm’s financial institutions group. His primary responsibility was leading banking coverage and overseeing the significant expansion and growth of the team. Before Deloitte, Duncan worked at NM Rothschild, where he was a director in the financial institutions group and oversaw transactions in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Duncan has experience of working across a great variety of sectors, notably the payment, mortgage and debt sectors.


MediaLink, an Ascential company, has hired Nick Manning as a senior vice president, based in its London office. Nick joins the strategic advisory firm after a decade helping to build the capabilities of Ebiquity, a marketing and media consultancy, where he was chief strategy officer. He will report to Michael Kassan, chairman and CEO of MediaLink. Nick will focus on the continued expansion of MediaLink in Europe including hiring new talent to build upon the strong growth in the region that has landed the advisory firm in London, Frankfurt and Berlin. His deep experience in media and agency leadership will allow a broader portfolio of clients to benefit from the firm’s expertise.
