The Jedi Training Remote is this year's top toy for Christmas, according to buyers at Argos.
The miniature droid darts around like the training remotes used in the Star Wars films, allowing aspiring Jedis to work on their lightsaber skills. It was designed by British inventors at Wow! Stuff, who design toys for brands such as Star Wars and Harry Potter.
Since its launch last month, sales of the £29.99 toy have been high which could be related to the allegiance of adult fans of the franchise, and they are expected to grow when Star Wars: The Last Jedi is released next month.
Lindsay Rogers, Buyer for Gifts at Argos, said: “We’ve seen how popular the Jedi Training Remote is. It’s one of those tech items that comes along every couple of years that takes everyone by surprise and it’s been a big hit ahead of the movie launch this season.”
Star Wars toys are set to be big this Christmas, with an £85 Lego BB-8 making its way onto a top 10 Christmas toys list compiled by Hamley's.
Other toys on the list include a Barbie dream horse, the new Nerf gun and Get a Grip, a game where players complete challenges, such as drawing, without using their thumbs.
