Ikea has opened its 20th store in the UK in Sheffield today.
The Swedish furniture giant, which has been in the UK for 30 years, has created more than 480 new jobs with its Sheffield store and the Swedish ambassador Torbjörn Sohlström attended the opening.
Ikea will be opening two more stores before the end of the year, one in Exeter and one in Greenwich.
Gillian Drakeford, country manager for Ikea in the UK and Ireland, said: "Today is an important milestone for us, with Ikea Sheffield being our 20th store in the UK. The opening of Ikea Sheffield marks the continuation of a significant period of growth for our business.
"As we celebrate our 30th anniversary in the UK next month, we remain committed to building a strong and trusted brand whilst continuing to bring Ikea closer to many people."
