West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has hailed Tottenham as the most attractive team in the Premier League ahead of their clash on Saturday at the London Stadium.
Manchester City and Manchester United have set the pace so far this season, scoring 16 goals apiece from five games, but Bilic has particular admiration for Spurs.
“For me they are the team that plays the most attractive football and definitely one of the contenders to win the league,” he said.
“They have patterns, they have individual quality, they have pace and they are a team building up for three years now. That for me makes them maybe the best team, or the most attractive definitely.”
West Ham effectively ended Tottenham’s title hopes last season with a 1-0 win in early May and, buoyed by a three-match unbeaten run, Bilic is hoping for a repeat this weekend.
He added: “We’ve been great against Spurs recently, especially at home, but also away – in the last one away we lost 3-2. We were winning 2-1 with two minutes to go.
“We always get a special performance, OK, it’s a derby, and I’m wishing to get these performances no matter who we play. But it’s a special atmosphere and we all remember those.”
Record signing Marko Arnautovic could make his first league start since August after impressing in the midweek Carabao Cup win over Bolton.
