Medius Consulting has been joined by Palvinder Gill as head of the Medius prudential practice. He qualified as a barrister and has over twenty years of experience in the field of financial services regulation and risk management. After gaining his LLM degree in banking and finance law, Palvinder specialised in regulatory policy and advisory services, including five years as a policymaker at the Bank of England/Financial Services Authority, and subsequently in regulatory consulting at Ernst & Young and then providing in-house regulatory capital expertise at Credit Suisse, Macquarie, Morgan Stanley, Nomura and Wells Fargo. His extensive regulatory experience includes: capital, large exposures and liquidity advisory; managing and drafting ICAAPs, ILAAPs and recovery plans; and advising on waiver applications.
Target Group, the business process outsourcing and operational transformation provider, has announced the appointment of Richard Gregory as the company’s chief data officer (CDO). Richard’s role will be to lead the further development and delivery of Target Group’s overall data strategy. The move continues to drive forward its position as a leading global insight led business. Having held senior leadership positions at some of the world’s largest organisations such as AB InBev, Nokia, Whitbread and most recently Nationwide as the group’s head of information management, Richard is a respected authority in this field and brings with him a wealth of experience within strategic information management and a proven record for delivery. Richard will report into Co-Group CEO Ian Larkin.
Bates Wells Braithwaite
Bates Wells Braithwaite (BWB) has appointed Richard Cross as a senior consultant to its growing regulatory consultancy, BWB Compliance. A specialist in UK and European regulation, Richard brings a wealth of experience in helping financial services firms to tackle compliance challenges and regulatory changes such as AIFMD and Mifid II. Richard joins following a six-year stint at financial services regulatory consultancy Bovill, where he worked as a managing consultant, primarily advising asset managers in the private equity and venture capital sectors. BWB Compliance offers regulatory advice and support to financial services firms. Richard joins at a time when the consultancy is expanding its offering to current and prospective clients. He offers just the kind of expert and pragmatic support firms look for in times of change like the finance sector is currently experiencing.
