Today's City Moves cover asset management, finance advisory and pensions. Take a look at these movers and shakers:

Charles Stanley

James Rae has joined the Charles Stanley IHT portfolio service as a portfolio manager. The service now exceeds £250m funds under management and administration thanks to increased inflows from clients over the past 12 months and strong performance from the underlying Aim portfolio. James’ experience and ability to analyse Aim investments will be a real strength to the team. As assets under management continue to grow Charles Stanley wishes to expand its team to ensure it continues to offer outstanding service. James joins from Charlotte Square Investment Managers, where he was most recently investment manager. He was previously an investment analyst and an investment assistant at Charlotte Square, having joined the firm in 2012.

Duff & Phelps

Duff & Phelps, the premier global valuation and corporate finance advisor, is pleased to announce that Christian Mouillon has joined the firm as a global senior adviser. Christian brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the firm as a former global vice chairman at EY. He will focus on growth in the firm’s valuation practice internationally and representing Duff & Phelps in it’s ongoing dialogue with professional associations and other regulatory bodies. As a member of the global executive committee at EY from 2004 to 2015, Christian led the assurance and advisory service line, helping to create the EMEIA structure, before becoming the global vice chairman of assurance services and then global vice chairman of risk management. In his career as an auditor, Christian served many leading multinational clients across a variety of industries, with a particular focus on banks, real estate, automotive companies and utilities. He has extensive experience working with boards and regulators and is recognized as one of the most influential names in the industry.

Julian Mund has been appointed the new chief executive of the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA) from 1 August. Julian is currently commercial services director and acting chief executive.
