Belstaff, the British motorcycle jacket brand promoted by David Beckham, is being courted by the owners of Italian fashion label Diesel, according to reports.

OTB Group, which owns a number of other high-end European labels, has submitted a bid to Belstaff’s owners – the German Reimann family.

The Sunday Times reported the Reimanns are keen to offload the loss-making firm, which they bought for £100m in 2011. Analysts said they could let it go for as little as £3m.

The Reimanns recently put their stake in shoe maker Jimmy Choo up for sale as they seek to focus on the food and beverage sector.
