FTI Consulting has appointed David Eastwood as a senior managing director in the firm’s economic and financial consulting practice. He will be based in London. David’s areas of expertise include software and technology licensing, the development and implementation of contract compliance programmes, revenue recovery and the enforcement of intellectual property (IP) rights, the licensing of brands and digital content, royalty audits and software asset management. He also advises clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters, particularly where measurement of usage and compliance with contract terms is complex and hard to establish. David joins FTI Consulting after almost 35 years at KPMG, where he helped establish and grow the firm’s UK Forensic practice. He established KPMG’s global contract compliance services team in 2000, building it to around 500 staff globally and serving some of the world’s largest software and technology companies.
MortgageGym.com, the world’s first regulated mortgage robo-adviser, is pleased to announce that Henry Ritchotte, former chief operating officer and member of the management board of Deutsche Bank, has joined with immediate effect as investor and adviser to the company. Henry has also made a personal investment of £500,000 in MortgageGym. He has over 24 years’ experience in the investment banking and financial services industries. Since leaving Deutsche earlier this year, Henry has been making early stage investments in financial services firms with a focus on disruptive regulatory- and technology-driven business models. Henry previously held the role of head of digital bank at Deutsche and was before that Deutsche’s chief digital officer on projects to digitalise banking services. Henry initially joined Deutsche in 1995 from Credit Suisse First Boston having worked at Recof Corporation and Merrill Lynch.
Law firm RPC has hired technology and data protection specialist Jon Bartley as a partner in its London office. Jon joins the firm’s commercial team, where he will be working closely alongside fellow partner Oliver Bray. He comes from Penningtons Manches where was a partner and co-head of the firm’s data team. Jon advises on a broad range of commercial matters for domestic and international clients, including digital implementation, e-commerce, consumer and data protection. Jon is a technically excellent lawyer, with a solid commercial background and great client focus. He’s also got all the specialist skills needed to keep supporting and growing RPC’s stellar client base.
