Are you willing to take a chance on Manchester United winning the double? Well Virgin Money have the saving product for you.

Although sister firm Virgin Media has backed Southampton as the team's shirt sponsor, Virgin's banking arm has put its support behind the Red Devils to win English football's double.

Virgin Money today launched a new bond that triples interest pay outs if the Red Devils win next season's Premier League and FA Cup.

Investors can open an account with just £1. It is available online and in branches.

In addition, customers opening a "Double Champions Bond" will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win anything from matchday tickets for Old Trafford to signed Manchester United replica shirts. The more customers save, the better their chances of winning are, Virgin Money said.

If you're a Manchester United fan this may seem like a great way to get behind your team. However, the alternative is to wander down to the bookies: the Old Trafford team is currently 22/1 to win the double with Betway and 20/1 with Paddy Power.

Virgin Money savings director Rajesh Ahuja said:

With a competitive rate of interest, plus the potential for an additional double-interest bonus if Manchester United win the league and Emirates FA Cup, we expect the new 'Double Champions Bond' to be really popular ahead of the start of the new season.
