Travelodge goes on recruitment drive in London as 100 more hotels on the cards for the capital

Budget hotel giant Travelodge is creating over 200 jobs as part of its recruitment drive in London.

Travelodge plans to open a further 100 hotels in London over the next eight to 10 years. It currently has 546 hotels across the UK, Ireland and Spain and hosts over 18m guests every year.

The chain – which is opening new hotels in Brent Cross, Wood Green and Harrow – is recruiting for permanent positions including hotel mangers, assistant hotel managers, receptionists, bar cafe team members, housekeeping and guest room cleaners.

Craig Bonnar, Travelodge's chief operating officer, said: "At Travelodge, we are committed in developing our people. We have a successful in-house management development programme in place called Aspire. Over the years we have helped hundreds of colleagues climb the career ladder from an entry level position into management.”
